The molds for presses are part of the AMG Tools catalog, along with deep drawing molds. Deep drawing is the stamping operation through which a flat sheet metal can be transformed into a three-dimensional shape, creating volume.
During a deep drawing process, a flat metal sheet is placed inside a shaped die, driven by the force of a punch, allowing it to deform into the desired object. Unlike sheet metal shearing, which is relatively quick, deep drawing is slower, as the sheet requires time to be shaped. If the necessary timing is not adhered to, there is a risk of encountering various defects, from stress to tears, and even fractures.
